Love Notes

Problem solved.  I got this idea from Teaching in High Heels.  Thanks, Gladys!  :)

I absolutely love the idea of keep the pictures and notes kids draw in a binder.  I am a little OCD when it comes to my classroom, and sometimes walls covered in pictures drives me crazy.  I do, however, love having them in a nice, organized binder.  And the kids LOVE looking at them all in their spare time.  Being the OCD teacher that I am, I made a cover for the binder.

And here are a few sample "love notes".   Two of them are from a girl who always tells me the most inspiring messages she learned... from Barbie.  :)

Awwww! That's what I do with my "love" notes...as my firsties like to call them! I also let them have access to my special binder...they LOVE looking at their letters and drawings...and commenting on how their writing has changed...they are too funny!

Gonna have to start using this idea. I never want to throw their gestures away...but, I couldn't possibly post them. It will be so fun to look back over the years of love notes. Thanks!

Haha! I love this idea. Such a simple solution to the never ending love notes...and yes I actually do refer to them as that so this works perfectly for me!

Ok! This might be one of the best ideas ever! First, I love all the things you post, but this might be a fav or mine. I am going to introduce the binder to my kiddos at morning meeting and then I'm going to put it in the writing center so they can add to it. Thanks-Lauren

What a wonderful idea! I've been using the front of my desk as a place to display my students' "love notes", but the clutter begins to get to me after a while and I never know what to do with all of the pictures. I will definitely use this idea next year with my firsties. Thanks!
